Nerea: monitoring marine ecosystems with advanced data

Studying the sea today means integrating historical knowledge and state-of-the-art technology.

Nerea is an interactive dashboard that collects and analyzes data from the Bay of Naples monitoring station such as physicochemical parameters, biogeochemical, microscopy and bioinformatics (18S) data.

Users can filter samples by site, season, year, and depth and visualize information through interactive treemap, graphs, and tables. The data, unified through the WoRMS API, allow the user to read the evolution of marine biodiversity over time and support scientific and management decisions about the health of marine ecosystems.
