Ecological restoration is taking concrete form in Italian parks and reserves. Thanks to shared projects, researchers and managers are repopulating rare species, rebuilding habitats and testing innovative solutions. From the forests of the Madonie Mountains to the peat bogs of the Stelvio Park and the seabed of theCinque Terre Marine Area, each intervention experiments with new techniques to recreate resilient ecosystems. At stake is the regeneration of threatened habitats, but also the involvement of local territories and communities in a challenge that combines science, conservation and green jobs.
