From fir bark, health benefits

Redazione Avatar

Spruce bark extract-a byproduct of the forestry supply chain that is usually discarded or destined for burning-could prove to be a valuable resource for wellness. This is the finding of research in which scientists used a new extraction technique, called hydrodynamic cavitation (efficient, fast and able to operate at low temperatures), to process this material. The extracts obtained have high antioxidant and antiviral properties against two types of viruses, and particularly effective antibacterial activity against several strains.
