Effective ecological restoration does not improvise. It is based on a five-stage operational model: area assessment, planning and design, implementation of interventions, monitoring of results, and post-restoration management. Each stage requires multidisciplinary expertise, from the analysis of biodiversity and disturbance factors to the definition of measurable goals and intervention strategies. This approach makes it possible to address the complexity of degraded ecosystems with sound scientific tools geared toward the long term.
