Dolichens, the inventory of lichens in the Dolomites.

It counts on about 75 thousand data reportable to 1750, but is continuously growing. The Dolichens database is dedicated to lichens, organisms that are sensitive to climate change and pollution but still relatively little known (and often excluded from conservation actions for this reason). The inventory, which can be consulted online, aggregates data from numerous sources, from the early 19th century to the present day, and geolocates each report, including historical ones: to do this, old maps were also consulted, because place names have frequently changed over time and many places have been abandoned.
