The Biodiversity Gateway is a virtual expression of the Biodiversity Science Gateway (BSG), the major infrastructure created by the National Biodiversity Future Center (NBFC) to connect biodiversity science research with society.
It is proposed as a gateway through which research and innovation results become tangible value for citizens, innovators and institutions.

The Biodiversity Gateway provides information on biodiversity. The portal collects, organizes, and makes available, in a clear and understandable way for all, information and data on species, habitats, ecosystems, threats to biodiversity, and possible solutions.

Through articles, videos, infographics, educational resources and more, it promotes a culture of nature, raises public awareness of the importance of biodiversity and the need for its protection, and helps create a sense of community and collective engagement.

It is the meeting point between civil society, researchers, businesses, and government. By connecting people, it provides a means for them to communicate, share information, collaborate on joint projects, and participate in public debate on biodiversity issues.
